Havu's year in review 2023
2023 has been a varied and truly interesting year for us here at Havu. It's time to look back at everything that happened over the year. 2023 has been a successful one – our slogan was chosen as the best of the year, we launched our dark-toned watches, and we brought our customers' wishes for a slim watch to life. Our range also expanded with wooden earrings and bands compatible with Apple Watch. The popularity of HAVU products has grown across Finland, and more and more happy customers proudly wear a HAVU wooden watch on their wrist.
Wood and silver – lightweight earrings for every occasion
Launched earlier this year, our wooden earrings have proven stylish for every occasion. Only the best materials made the cut for these earrings, crafted in Finland from domestic birch and genuine silver. These earrings aren't just stunning to look at — they're also designed to last, without compromising on their delightfully lightweight comfort.
New dark-toned watches
Our dark-toned watches Virta and Aura, finished with silver and gold details, have been more than welcome additions. We were determined to create high-quality, comfortable watches, and chose durable dark ebony wood as the material. We use as little metal as possible, though the first links of the band do include metal, to ensure the watch holds up to everyday use. The back of the watch is finished with a wooden surface, ensuring a pleasant wearing experience. This means the watch won't feel cold in winter or make your wrist sweat in the heat, unlike metal.
Customer wishes guided the design of this watch
We always listen closely to our customers' wishes, and this time the result is Kielo – a slim watch for women. Kielo combines top-quality materials and components, creating an exceptionally stylish and comfortable experience. This beautiful, simple watch is made from Finnish birch, with the parts that face the most wear replaced with metal to maximize durability. Kielo has received praise from our customers especially for its pleasant feel on the wrist, thanks to the genuine wood on the back of the watch.
Trendy Apple Watch-compatible bands
Our latest new arrival – wooden bands compatible with Apple Watch – have been a real hit! The Wooden band offers a more allergy-friendly alternative to metal and silicone. You can finally say goodbye to bands that make your wrist sweaty, uncomfortable, or cold! And best of all, a Wooden band gives your watch a whole new, modern look!
Apple Watch-compatible bands come in three colors: light Finnish birch, dark ebony, and warm brown walnut. We know our customers value quality, which is why we chose only the finest and most durable types of wood.
"Time looks good" is the slogan of the year
The Finnish Marketing Association chose our slogan "Time looks good" as the slogan of the year. The phrase perfectly captures our message of stylish watches and unique design.
According to the jury, our slogan reflects the courage to stand out from the crowd. "A good slogan pleasantly tickles the brain and serves up the core customer promise and benefit on a silver platter, just like Havu Watches did with its slogan of the year," says a member of the Finnish Marketing Association's slogan committee.
The announcement of this year's slogan was definitely one of the highlights of the year, and we at Havu are grateful and proud of this recognition. It gives us even more motivation to keep developing our bold and distinctive brand.
High quality guides everything we do
One positive theme has come up again and again in this year's customer feedback, and it really matters to us – the high quality of our products and service. This past year, we've continued to focus on overall quality, in our products, our customer service, and everything else we do.
